Chocolate Covered Strawberry
Red gloss by Rimmel.
Red Patagonia pullover.
Breakfast by Chik-Fil-A.
Resembling that cherry pop.
They said they’d never leave.
And they didn’t. But they never came, either.
One taste, is just, not enough.
A Carmex kiss lingers on her lips like a blank stare.
And just like the blank stare, a plain response, and a plain box.“Hi, my name is Kayla, I’ll be your hostess for this evening. Drinks?”

I sucked the life out of that vibrant strawberry, for my gain, for that light.
As they did I.
